Brain Death, the Concept of ‘Persona,’ and the Principle of Wholeness


Japan is a country where unique discussions on brain death take place not only among specialists but also lay persons. Using narratives, Professor Morioka presents his theories on some philosophical aspects of brain death, that is to say, the concept of ‘persona’ and the principle of ‘wholeness.’
